Special Olympics Team Virginia returned victorious from the 2010 Special Olympics National Games, which took place July 18-23 at the University of Nebraska. Team Virginia took home a combined total of 18 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 12 bronze medals – and Area 6’s own Matthew Jones of Chesterfield scored big with a gold in the 800-meter run, silver in the mini-javelin and bronze in the 1500-meter run.  Way to go Matthew for a job well done!
