Opening Ceremony with Brooke and Victoria

Area 6 Athletes competed in many events at the Special Olympics Virginia 2016 Fall Games in Virginia Beach. The sports our Athletes competed in were bocce, bowling, golf, soccer and volleyball. (If I missed anything, please let me know!).

Jayne Hancock, our fearless leader (local coordinator) from Goochland says it all:
“Had a great weekend at State Special Olympics Fall games in Va. Beach! Athletes, chaperones, and coaches had a great time. My athletes participated in bocce. I would like to give a special thank you to Charlotte that comes from a North Carolina to run this event. She works hard to follow the rules and meet the needs of all athletes. Sportsmanship was fantastic. Out athletes received first, second, or third place awards. The smiles say it all. Our Goochland bus drivers did an awesome job!”

Here are some pictures from the Fall Games. I will add more pictures as I receive/find them!
