Special Olympics Virginia is also offering a Young Athlete training program for children, ages 2-7, with intellectual disabilities. The training site will be at Trinity United Methodist Church located at 903 Forest Ave. The program will start Thursday, September 24 and meet every Thursday from 3:30-4:30. There is no charge to participate. This program is designed to teach young children movements and skills that are precursors to a variety of sports.
